So...What is Recovery Anyway?


Hey guys, it’s Dr. Jess back with a chat all about recovery. When my friends, family, or prospective clients hear that I offer recovery services here at Precision, it is always followed by the question, “So…What are Recovery Services Anyway?”


Whether you are a football player, dancer, weekend warrior, busy mom, or just an active individual, recovery is key for optimal performance. Recovery is a way that we reward our body for fueling us in all of our endeavors. In order for our body to perform well, it must also recover well. 


Here at Precision I love being able to have the resources to help you prevent an injury from occurring in the first place, and that is exactly what my recovery services are aiming to do. I love to use a variety of techniques to help your body recover well. Whether we use cupping to help desensitize your muscles and improve blood flow, or compression therapy such as Normatec compression sleeves to enhance circulation and reduce muscle soreness, or even if we perform soft tissue releases to relax your muscles, tendons, and ligaments…these techniques are all aimed to help your body prepare for peak performance.
